Kia K2 - Chinese Domestic Market


The Kia K2 finally revealed at the 2011 Shanghai Motor Show. The K2 is based on the all-new Rio platform specifically designed and engineered for the Chinese market.

The new joint venture B-segment car between KIA and chinese Dongfeng Yueda Kia which will begin production at DYK’s manufacturing facility in Jiangsu in June and followed by the 5-door hatchback of version in August of this year.
 
Measuring at 4,370 mm long, 1,700 mm wide, 1,460 mm tall and 2,570mm wheelbase, the K2 is sharing the same technical as the all-new Rio and borrowed the styling cues from the popular K5 sedan (all-new Optima). Kia claimed that K2 has best-in-class interior space and ample luggage capacity of 500 litres and the rear seat can be folded to 60:40 split.

Kia K2 will be available to Chinese customers in six trim levels with a 1.4-litre or 1.6-litre Gamma petrol engine mated to a manual or automatic transmission.
We are hoping that NAZA will bringing this to our shore and market below the price of others B-segment car especially the Vios and City. Then it will be a hot selling cakes.
